From humble beginnings in a small office in Fitzroy to their current 11,500m2 purpose-built facility in Epping, Melbourne - Signature Floors has evolved significantly over the past thirty years. In fact, their story began in 1989 when Bill O'Halloran, after spending his entire career in the flooring industry, decided to start his own company. Subsequently, trading began under the name New Floor Distributors which later changed to Signature Floors. The core beliefs instilled by Bill make Signature the forward-thinking company it is today. These include constant innovation, never restricting the imagination and always loving their products. This translates today to multiple flooring products across categories like commercial custom carpet, vinyl floor tiles and planks, sheet vinyl flooring rolls and modular carpet tile collections.
Fifty-three years after Bill began his career at MNA Floors, he decided to retire from the flooring industry. Today, Signature is led by Bill's son Anthony O'Halloran and son-in-law, Robert Herten. In fact, the duo took over in 2008, after being mentored by Bill for over 14 years. Their success could be attributed to their extensive worldwide travel. As a result, they're able to stay updated with current and upcoming trends as well as technological advances. In fact, the combination of places visited and the relationships built globally makes Signature the company it is today.
